Les œuvres de Wes21 - Remo Lienhard - sont toujours très puissantes, elles ont tendance à montrer le côté brut de la vie. Inspiré par la nature et la quête de la place de l’humain dans celle-ci; il donne une rugosité particulière à ce poing qui pourrait illustrer la dureté du climat islandais et au cœur de la vallée le petit village pourrait lui nous rappeler au mot résilience.
Comment ne pas vous parler de Juan Arctic, le plus Islandais des artistes espagnols 😉🇪🇸🇮🇸 Ses œuvres sont partout mais alors vraiment partout dans Reyjkavik… Des grands murs, des panneaux en bois, des contre allées, tout y passe. Il utilise les codes, la faune et la flore, propres à l’iceland et les transforment en œuvres… Ici l’Ours polaire et le très très mignon Puffin (macareux)…
J’ai découvert Li-Hill et son incroyable travail de défragmentation du mouvement à Brooklyn il a quelques années. Ce mur, en plein centre de Reyjkavik a été réalisé à l’occasion de l’édition 2015 d’Iceland Airwaves, le festival de musique s’est associé à Urban Nation Berlin pour organiser une série de fresques murales sur le thème de la musique à travers la ville. Ce projet, s’intitulait« Wall Poetry ».
Reyjkavik, nous voilà ! Pour commencer cette série sur l’incroyable ville de Reyjkavik, je ne pouvais commencer que par une artiste illustratrice Icelandaise : Natka Klimowicz. Cette œuvre est une porte ouverte vers la douceur, l’amitié, la solidarité… Un rayon de soleil dans ce quartier paisible.
