The work created such a buzz on social networks that it instantly put the spotlight on the town of La Seyne-sur-Mer, which was only in the early stages of creating its Street Art Festival, <strong>Mini Fest<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><div id=\"altin-4272816667\" class=\"altin-contenu_2 altin-entity-placement\"><script async src=\"\/\/pagead2.googlesyndication.com\/pagead\/js\/adsbygoogle.js?client=ca-pub-4035181110757945\" crossorigin=\"anonymous\"><\/script><ins class=\"adsbygoogle\" style=\"display:block; text-align:center;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-4035181110757945\" \ndata-ad-slot=\"9414912321\" \ndata-ad-layout=\"in-article\"\ndata-ad-format=\"fluid\"><\/ins>\n<script> \n(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); \n<\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>A few years earlier, the associations <strong>L&rsquo;impasse<\/strong> and <strong>Nonem Organisation<\/strong> had created the \u00ab\u00a0Total Graff\u00a0\u00bb event during the \u00ab\u00a0Heritage Days\u00a0\u00bb in collaboration with the town. This event was a significant starting point, with artists such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/hopare1\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Hopare<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/dopie.dsk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Dopie<\/strong><\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/reaoner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Rea One<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Eduardo Kobra<\/strong> all taking up residencies. The real birth of street art in La Seyne-sur-Mer took place in the <strong>impasse No\u00ebl Verlaque<\/strong>. This explosively colourful stretch of graffiti remains almost intact despite the transformation of the area into a modern zone. A veritable creative explosion! Crew works by graffiti artists from the south of France rub shoulders with those of international artists. Some of the original works dating from 2017 have disappeared, while others have been created since. It&rsquo;s concentrated and explosive at the same time. Personally, it&rsquo;s exactly the kind of place I love. But at the same time, I was really surprised to see all these faces decorating the gables of the buildings in La Seyne-sur-Mer. I have to admit that I was a little taken aback. On Sunday morning, the streets were deserted and these faces gave me more the impression of an end of the world where the only human representation was pictorial than anything else. What&rsquo;s more, I&rsquo;m astonished that women are in the majority when the caf\u00e9 terraces on a Sunday morning are full of men! La Seyne-sur-Mer &#8211; Photo \u00a9Altinnov<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Two works caught my eye! <strong>Burn Out<\/strong> by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/remy.uno\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>R\u00e9my Uno<\/strong><\/a>, who as well as being an artist is also the Artistic Director and Founder of the <a href=\"https:\/\/altinnov.blog\/index.php\/en\/2022\/09\/23\/street-art-port-de-bouc-france\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Festival Les Nouveaux Ateliers in Port de Bouc<\/strong><\/a>. And how could we not tackle it when we know that Toulon&rsquo;s immense and incredible harbour is a gateway to the beautiful Mediterranean Sea! Some artists have focused on the surface, while others have lost themselves in the depths.<\/p>\n<p>Here we find the traditional fisherman, immediately reminiscent of Hemingway&rsquo;s \u00ab\u00a0The Old Man and the Sea\u00a0\u00bb, directed by <strong>Tom Wild<\/strong> and <strong>Tetal<\/strong>. It has the colours and compositions of Latin American walls. I&rsquo;ve tried to make a selection that&rsquo;s fairly representative of the full range of works you&rsquo;ll be able to see. Now it&rsquo;s time for the verdict on this <strong>Mini Fest<\/strong> in La Seyne-sur-Mer!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Is street art at La Seyne-sur-Mer worth the diversions?<\/h3>\n<p>As you may have noticed, my enthusiasm was somewhat dampened by a certain lack of curation. The most positive aspect of this <strong>Mini Fest<\/strong> for me was discovering the talents of local artists mixed with international artists. I would have liked to see a red thread like the one in <a href=\"https:\/\/altinnov.blog\/index.php\/en\/2020\/10\/02\/street-art-in-boulogne-sur-mer-france\/\"><strong>Boulogne-sur-Mer<\/strong><\/a>, or more figurative works in which I could have projected myself, as in <a href=\"https:\/\/altinnov.blog\/index.php\/en\/2022\/09\/23\/street-art-port-de-bouc-france\/\"><strong>Port de Bouc<\/strong><\/a>. But I have to admit, I was a little disturbed by this gallery of giant portraits.
